WHAT MAKES THE PROGRAM UNIQUE?

The "H" Puck

The “H” Puck is a custom made heavy puck made of steel that is specially designed by Coach Greg.

This picture is of the original stainless steel “H” Puck that Greg has had for over 45 years. Coach Greg grinds and polishes every puck himself to ensure the ‘feel’ is just right for his program.

The “H” Puck, the supporting videos and the custom designed homework booklets are what makes this program so unique! The program allows our players to set themselves apart from the competition with The True Hockey Program.

These key differentiators are for the hockey player! They are 100% focused on hockey and will make them better players!

The program is appropriate for all age and skill levels. My clientele includes female & male players from Recreational, all AAA Rep Levels, Major Bantam, Major Midget, Major Junior, NHL and all levels in-between.

I am more than happy to provide references from satisfied customers.

The Art of Shooting 7 and 10-week player programs include the “H” Puck as part of the program.

The True Hockey Program Philosophy

The True Hockey Program exists to teach hockey players how to shoot fast, hard, and accurately. That is what we do.  We continuously improve and adapt our programs and always strive to provide you with the best possible training.

We will help you gain confidence and elevate your hockey game. We will do this in a fun and professional manner.  We will take great pride in your success whether that is scoring more goals on a recreation team or getting drafted by an NHL team.

We believe in the transformative power of our programs and the ability of players to improve their game using the structure and content of our programs.  We believe in the untapped growth potential of our players.

GREG GRAVEL

Program Director

Greg Gravel

Greg’s coaching career spans over 35 years and includes stints as a head coach, assistant coach and core skills coaching instructor at the minor hockey level and hockey schools.

Before he turned to coaching Greg had a very successful and lengthy hockey career that included being drafted in the first round of the OHL by the Oshawa Generals. He played four seasons in the OHL, earning a trip to the Memorial Cup with Oshawa and then being privileged to captain the Windsor Spitfires.

Greg was drafted and was part of the Pittsburgh Penguins organization for two seasons followed by a stint with the St. Louis Blues.

Greg recognized the importance of education and played 4 years while earning his Bachelors of Business Administration at UPEI as a student-athlete. He was an AUAA Rookie of the Year, MVP and CIAU All-Star while playing for the Panthers and was named to the All-Canadian team while leading the AUAA in scoring.

Greg finished off the last years of his playing career with the Canadian National team and Division 1 hockey in France and Finland before turning his passion for hockey into coaching. While coaching Greg has developed his own hockey program, The True Hockey Program, based on his vast experience playing in different programs and countries.

He continues to run his program out of the BMO Centre in Bedford, Nova Scotia. Greg and his Family have been long time residents of Fall River, NS.

Greg’s coaching philosophy is built around the belief that ‘Everybody is full of potential…so why not bring the best of this out!”

By continually challenging the player’s skill level, self confidence and self esteem are naturally heightened, translating into player and team success.
